Rs 800cr cricket betting racket busted, two bookies with 8 accomplices held - Tv9 Gujarati


Vadodara: When India was playing Bangladesh in the crucial quarter final match at Melbourne, the Ahmedabad zonal unit of Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out a search operation in Vadodara and unearthed an international cricket betting racket worth Rs 800 crore. ED officials held two bookies — Kiran Mala alias Kiran Amdavad and Tommy Patel along with eight accomplices for betting during the ongoing ICC cricket world cup 2015. This is the first time, ED has unearthed a cricket betting racket.
